Don’t, sometimes, the readers ask your selfs, if archive images that you see, are really true and if they really existed? Well, sometimes I make this questions to myself, not because I doubt of their veracity but only because, they show things that are very hard to believe, that really happened, at the place where they have be made. In this case, the video above shows images from Iran before 1979 and its so impressive the difference between that time and the actually, that, the first time I saw them, I asked myself if it s really the same country.
It’s amazing how things can change for worst, how life in a country can be like the difference between day and night and how the history of a people can be in the right way and suddenly return back so many centuries. From the images of the video, is also possible to see how radical religion can destroy the future of a country and so this little movie is a wonderful example on why religion and politics must never be mixed.
But if life were so good as the video seems to show, why a radical leader has achieved to provoke a revolution and win in so short time? Precisely because life were not so good, as on can imagine. In fact, Iran was a political dictartoship before becoming a religious one. Many iranians used to live in very bad conditions, while the emperor’s family lived on sumptuosity and faust. Of course, this contributed very much for the regime’s change on Iran power. Now, the problem is that iranian people, at least many of them, still lives with many difficulties and human rights, principally women rights, disappeared of the iranian landscape.
History can teach us, important lessons and the 1979 Iran’s revolution is an important lesson on how a bad regime can provoke the origin of a regime even worst, on how religion can go against human rights and on how people can loose their freedom always thinking that they are winning liberty. Unfortunately, history lessons can be, sometimes hard to memorize and easy to repeat. So, now, I would like to ask: will go Tunisia, Egypt and Syria repeat the errors of Iran?
